About Strata Intel

Strata Intel was founded by Dr. Jon Ashton, a clinical psychologist whose work has focused on understanding how stress affects people—and how that impact shows up in teams. Since 1995, Dr. Ashton has gathered data from thousands of hours of clinical work, identifying patterns in human behavior that often go unnoticed in traditional workplace tools. Over time, he began to see a clear opportunity: if leaders had access to the same kinds of insights he saw in his practice, they could prevent burnout, improve trust, and build stronger teams from the inside out.

When Dr. Ashton shared this idea with longtime friend and former Pennant Group CEO Daniel Walker, the two recognized a powerful connection between clinical insight and executive leadership. Together, they launched Strata Intel to bring this vision to life—giving leaders a simple, effective way to understand the internal dynamics of their teams and act before problems escalate.

Strata Intel is a software platform that helps leaders identify where stress is building, why it matters, and what to do next. It uses anonymous team assessments and clean, research-based analytics to highlight areas that are thriving, as well as those that may be at risk for disengagement, turnover, or costly mistakes. The goal isn't to diagnose individuals—it's to help teams grow stronger together and ultimately unlock their full potential.
